Billboard ran a brief item on Slim in the Mar. 2, 1957 issue: "Canada's Alberta Slim has purchased an auto court just outside of New Westminster, B.C. Slim's latest on the Sparton label are 'Leave Me Alone and Let Me Be' b.w. 'Brother, You're Not Dead' and 'The Laughing Horse' b.w. 'Hold What You Got, Boys (And Don't Let Her Go).'"
