The Beverley Sisters on Stage

Sadly Joy Beverley died on 31 August 2015, but let's remember the girls in happy times - performing to a full house some years ago at a variety theatre in Wolverhampton. Their chart hit days were a distant memory, but they remained a hugely popular act, and with mildly naughty lyrics to popular songs such as 'Who Wants To Be A Millionaire' and 'Football Crazy' their career continued into the 21st Century. Their first taste of fame came in the 1940s, and footage captured by Pathe in 1947, that can be viewed elsewhere on youtube, established a winning style that still entertained audiences through until their last performances seven decades later.
