Event Description
The 18th Annual LOOK Show
March 25th – April 15th 2017
The Victoria Arts Council is pleased to host The 18th Annual LOOK Show in partnership with The Bay Centre. This yearly exhibition is widely recognized as one of Victoria's premier art shows thanks to its inclusive community based approach. Featuring works from emerging to established artists, this year sees a notable expansion which has enabled us to include even more in this important cultural exhibition.
The eagerly anticipated show opens with a preview reception to the public on Saturday, March 25th 2:00 to 4:00 pm at 636 Fort Street, the exterior entrance to the Bay Centre (located next to Starbucks). Featuring works of art by local artists and artisans of varied disciplines, the LOOK Show is a non-juried locally curated exhibition designed to highlight not only the exceptional quality but the diversity of the local arts scene.
The show runs from March 25th to April 15th 2017 and will include several venues including The Main CACGV Gallery as well as an additional gallery in the Bay Centre. Featuring on-site art demonstrations, volunteer performances by local musicians, dancers, poets and spoken word artists, the CACGV takes pride in hosting an event designed to bridge the gaps between all the members of the local arts community.
The 18th Annual LOOK Show Visual Arts Celebration is proudly sponsored by the Community Arts Council of Greater Victoria in partnership with The Bay Centre. The LOOK Show receives artwork from across the community and there is no jurying process to select the works. Experienced and emerging artists alike are welcome.
The Community Arts Council of Greater Victoria has encouraged and celebrated arts since 1968. VAC is a registered charity.
