Some of you may remember back when I used to host a songwriter's open mic -- first at The Paisley and then at Cabin 12.
Well folks I'm really pleased to tell you that we are starting it up again, at a great place called Rustik Bistro at the 6 Mile Bakery, at 3950 Carey Rd. This is a really sweet, atmospheric and cozy room, and perfect for live music. It's funky and comfortable, and all seats get a good view of the musicians.
Songrwiter Wednesdays will be every Wednesday, starting May 17th, from 6:00 to 9:00pm. You can get there on the #30 or #31 buses, or on the #50 UVic bus.
This is for original, acoustic music only (no covers) and performers will get in free plus will get a free drink after they perform (beer or wine) and some nibblies. Other folks will pay $10.00 at the door, which will entitle them to a free drink and nibblies as well. There is also a very reasonable menu if you'd like to make it a meal!
I sure hope you can join me in resurrecting this great event...let's make May 17th kick off with a bang!
For physical events that happen at a specific time. For example a concert, or dance performance. If there are multiple shows, you can still duplicate your event to cover them all.
