Chopin’s hauntingly beautiful E minor concerto, featuring UVic Concerto Competition winner, Carey Wang, will enchant you with its delicate piano passages, heart-rending expressions, and soaring orchestral climaxes. This performance promises to be a journey into the depths of emotion, showcasing the brilliance of both Chopin's compositions and the extraordinary talent of our students.
A lesser known yet equally brilliant composer, Louise Farrenc’s Symphony No. 1 will captivate with its dramatic flair, exquisite orchestration, and a seamless fusion of classical elegance and romantic fervor. This symphony is a testament to Farrenc's ingenuity, showcasing her ability to craft sweeping melodies and intricate harmonies that resonate through time.
